Research in Art and Architecture and Design (to a point) is relatively new and not defined. Terminology in relation to art is drawn from scientific discipline, therefore the vocabulary is still being defined. Methodology is essentially the study of the method which exists within a structure or framework. Creative practice, the act and process of design and making can be research.
