Longing To Return Home

What is Home? Exploring the idea of home as an idea common to the entire human condition. Is it an intangible concept or is it a series of social and cultural interactions and associations related to the physical at a particular point in time? The memory of home is often spoken to in relation to the word 'nostalgia', which I found out today is a word coined in the 17th century from the Greek for 'return home' (nostos) and 'longing' (algia). Perhaps 'home' can never truly be recreated because it belongs to a certain place in time. If so, let us identify what it is exactly that makes us feel attached and rooted to a place and what implications this has in the larger context.
