I was thinking about how to record the complexity of 'Home'. The concept of 'Home' goes beyond the physical, therefore recording smell, sound, touch, memory, and movement all become important. Speaking to my tutor Maurice, I was talking about recording the same things in different and restricted ways. For example, recording a journey with 20 photographic frames, 20 sound clips, 20 textures, 20 drawings that just track movements etc. He suggested that I look at Bernard Tschumi's Manhattan Transcripts. The drawings look almost like music scores, dissecting a single experience into it's separate chords. This exercise would be useful for recording different journeys at different scales in Exarchia, Greece.
